NEW ALBUM RELEASE
“De Menor a Mayor” is a blend of Gente de Zona’s Cuban identity with other flavors of tropical music and includes some of the collaborations they always dreamed of.
Highlights of this production include: Carlos Vives, with the song “El Negrito”, with sounds of the colorful vallenato, “Solos”, with one of the most celebrated female voices of pop music from Spain, India Martínez, with touches of modern flamenco, techno sounds, and tropical rhythms; “Háblame de Miami” with Maffio, “Muchacha” with Becky G, “Otra Botella”with Gerardo Ortiz, and the union of their voices with the queen of queens, the late Celia Cruz, in the track titled “Vampiro”. About this specific collaboration with the Cuban legend, Gente de Zona comments: “This song has the voice of Celia Cruz and it is extremely important given everything she means to the Cubans and everything she represented for our culture. We always dreamed of meeting her and we didn't have that opportunity. This song with her will always have a very special place in our hearts and it is without a doubt a huge moment in our lives and our careers.”
The duo adds: “For us ‘De Menor a Mayor’ not only checked many boxes on our bucket list, it also gave us the opportunity to continue our mission: to use our music to bring joy and unity to the world.”
